The group consists entirely of volunteers, and our campaigns are funded entirely by membership, individual donations and charitable grants. We currently have around 120 paid-up members, and 20 to 25 active volunteers, though we're always on the lookout for more!
Membership isn't compulsory, but if you do decide to join for the paltry sum of £1.50 a month (or even less if you're unwaged or low-waged), you not only get a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Act!on, but also a membership card which entitles you to special discounts at a range of local ethical businesses.
Geographically, we mostly cover the Manchester, Trafford and Salford areas, with neighbouring local groups in Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Stockport.
