When and where?

Currently we meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30pm at the Tyneside Cinema.
Its easy to find, in the heart of Newcastle, near Monument.
For public transport, any bus going to the city. From central station, only 5 minutes walk.
It has never been easier to come along to our meeting! Just turn up at the meeting time and date and ask at the Tyneside Cinema reception for the NGFOE meeting to be directed to the room.

Newcastle Gateshead Friends of the Earth (NGFOE) is the local FOE group covering the Newcastle Gateshead area. If you live in that area and are interested in taking part in our group, come and join us to one of our monthly meeting.

We are campaigning on the national "Fix the Food Chain" campaign. We had a few street stall, and a have a few more planned (see the calendar). A fun campaign, all dressed up as chicken, cows and pigs in the streets of Newcastle !! Watch the "Fix the Food Chain" movie on YouTube for an overview of the issues covered.

We are also currently investigating a number of potential new local campaign such as More Bike Locks, Mini Hydro scheme, leaves composting, organising a school organic diner, film screening, green community buildings etc... If you have any interest in any of these please contact us.
