About this group

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month (except August), 7.30pm, in the Committee Room at the Friends Meeting House, Clarendon Street NG1 5JD. All welcome. Our membership covers the Greater Nottingham area.

Recent activities have included:

• Campaigning for stronger action on climate change, including support for Climate Action Network Notts (CANN)
• Lobbying the government to increase support for renewable energy - gaining the support of Government Minister Vernon Coaker, MP for Gedling
• Supporting Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill (NAIL) in campaigning to oppose expansion of Nottingham's Eastcroft Incinerator
• Opposing expansion of aviation, particularly night freight at East Midlands Airport
