Sat 12 Dec: Climate change demo - city centre: noon

To coincide with the UN climate summit in Copenhagen, the Nottingham-Copenhagen Steering Group is asking people to assemble with banners outside the Council House at 12 noon, 12 December for a brief show of solidarity. (For action around the world see www.globalclimatecampaign.org/.)

This will be followed by a public meeting at 1.30pm at the Mechanics, North Sherwood St NG1 4EZ. Speakers:
Alan Simpson MP (Labour, Nottingham South)
Derek Wall (Green Party)
Martin Empson (Campaign Against Climate Change - trade union group)

This will be followed by a social event at the SUMAC centre, 245 Gladstone St NG7 6HX. Food from 'People's Kitchen' from 6pm, followed by music including Wholesome Fish.
