Pontypridd and district Friends of the Earth are a small but friendly group of people who come from in an around the Pontypridd and the surrounding areas.

In 2011 we started a new series of local and sustainable food festivals called the Little Welsh Nibble. Our summer event was a weekend long event held at The Bunch of Grapes pub and included stalls, talks, community garden visits and cookery demonstrations, including from a Michelin Star chef.

In the autumn we organised an Apple Fest with Coedpenmaen School including apple pressing demonstrations and tree planting.

We're always on the look out for films to screen with a good, Environmental message. Screenings are held both publicly and within the group.

We also like to get out and active in tidying up local community areas, performing "litter pick" activities when we can, so if your street or one that you know of is in need of some TLC why not suggest a street to us, and come along to help us tidy it up!

We are currently working on local food events and projects and contributing to Friends of the Earth's main national and international campaigns (www.foe.co.uk).
