The event takes place at the Bunch of Grapes, Pontypridd. This venue was chosen as the Bunch of Grapes put a lot of thought into where they buy the produce for their kitchens. They buy from as local and as sustainable sources as possible. They work in partnership with two local community Gardens the Grow Project in Treforest and the Green Valley Project in Abercynon buying their vegetables and planning their menu around what is available. They source local meat and sustainable fish and even create their own bread, jams and chutneys as well as their award winning Otley beer.

The event will start on Saturday with visits to the two community gardens and after which Welsh television chef Dudley Newberry (who is also local hailing from Ynysybwl originally) and Bunch of Grapes own chef Sebastien Vanoli will demonstrate cooking with local seasonal produce. There will be workshops all afternoon on how to set up community food co-operatives, farmers markets and community gardens as well as talks on how we can all reduce the impact that our food choices have on the environment. The Bunch of Grapes beer festival will run at the same time providing festival goers with a choice of around 20 beers and ciders on tap and on Saturday afternoon there will be an Otley brewery tour followed by a film screening and live music from Black Hawk Big band.

On Sunday we have Michelin starred Chef Franco Taruschio formally of "The Walnut Tree" will be doing the food demos and there will be the opportunity to buy some local produce. Local harpist and singer Bethan Nia will provide some beautiful music and the day will end with a folk music session
