Do you have thistles in your garden, or ceanothus and a lime tree? Maybe you grow courgettes and beans on your allotment? Then you are on your way to being a bee friendly gardener. There are over 150 bee friendly plants you could be growing already and dont know it. Would you like to win a prize for being the best bee friendly gardener in the county? Rutland Friends of the Earth are offering a cash prize of £150 for the best bee friendly garden in the area.
There is no entry fee, only a commitment to having a photo taken of you
and your garden. To enter send a postcard with your contact details as
below to Rutland Friends of the Earth 10 Bayleys Close Empingham or email
your name and contact address to [email protected]. A full list of bee friendly
plants will be sent to you when you enter the competition. Closing date May
30th. Judging will take place in July.
