Southport FOE and REAF (Ribble Estuary Against Fracking) held an awareness raising day in Chapel Street, on saturday 24th November. Leaflets explaining the dangers of Fracking (hydraulic fracturing for shale gas) were handed to passers by, and over 100 signatures were collected for the petition calling for a moratorium on the operation.
Information on the FOE "Clean British Energy" campaign were also distributed to the public on the day.
