Join Haringey 40:20

If you haven't joined Haringey 40:20 why not do so now? It's a great initiative to engage people in cutting carbon - and it needs your participation.

Haringey 40:20 brings together residents, businesses, social enterprises, charities and community groups across Haringey to help to create a better future for everyone living and working in the borough.

It was inspired by the passion of local residents - including our group - who convinced Haringey Council to join Friends of the Earth's 'Get Serious about CO2' campaign, and adopt an ambitious target to reduce CO2 emissions in the borough by 40% by 2020.

In 2009, Haringey was one of the first local authorities to commit to reducing borough-wide CO2 emissions by 40%. This pledge is important to the members of Haringey 40:20 - to show their commitment they have set a target to reduce CO2 emissions from their own buildings 40% by 2015, 5 years ahead of the borough-wide target.
