Yes, our Local Group Coordinator Quentin Given successfully completed the entire Ride from London to Edinburgh - 510 miles in six days. In the process he has raised over £2,000 for the work of Friends of the Earth. See photo on the right for Quentin in action on the Ride.
You can still make a donation to Quentin's fund - worth 25% more if you GiftAid it.
Quentin was one of over 20 diehards who completed the entire Ride, despite the weather some of the time being absolutely awful, with heavy rain and strong winds. Over 120 other riders joined the Ride for one to five days.
The Big Green Bike Ride was a tremendous success. For his part in it we say "Quentin - you Hero!" (And how long before you were able to sit down properly again?!)
Here are some more photos of people on the ride. Quentin can be seen at the end of the third row enjoying a well-earned pint at the end of the day. (Trust another of our group members, Stanley, to get his picture first in the list - and all he did was turn up at the start of the Ride, dressed as a bee, to see people off!)
