We lobby Ed Balls about the Green Investment Bank

At a public meeting with Ed Balls in Wood Green we joined other community groups in pressing the case for a Green Investment Bank with adequate funding. He didn't mention climate in his manifesto for the leadership election, so it was important to press him on this issue and the need to give it priority in economic policy decisions.

Rather than responding on the issue himself he passed it to one of his aides. The response was that they are in support of a Green Investment Bank, though their concern is where the funds will come from.

While this was not exactly an inspiring reply at least Ed Balls was pressed on the issue and the response was on the positive side.
