Over 50 people packed out Walthamstow Meeting House for our film night on 8 September. As part of a national day of action on The Bee Cause we hosted a free screening Queen of the Sun. Local beekeeper Eric Beamount joined us to sell honey and we gave aways hundreds of packs of wildflower seeds.
After the film Nicole David from Organiclea's beekeeping team told us all about sustainable beekeeping and Lucy Pearce from Friends of the Earth explained how we can all do our bit to save bees. And not forgetting Alan's short film about beekeeping in Waltham Forest which we showed before the main event.
Our film night was so popular we're thinking of hosting another screening as soon as we can. Thanks to everyone who came along, we hope you had fun.
