POLITICAL PARTY ENDORSES GET SERIOUS CAMPAIGN

In March this year we wrote to all the local political parties who had candidates for the County Council elections. We asked if they would endorse a policy of a greater than 40% reduction in emissions by 2020 and also support a statutory obligation on local authorities to meet this target. Replies were received from some of the parties but the most surprising response was that the Independent Community and Health Concern party (ICHC), included the policy in their election literature. Subsequently we contacted ICHC and asked if their name could be added to the list of supporting organisations on the Get Serious website. The great news is that they have agreed and also our letter to them is being displayed on the ICHC website with the parties endorsement.
