See things differently

Lets get jammy...and stop more traffic in York

Join the jam packed 'York's Jammed' flash mob for fewer traffic jams tomorrow.

When: Saturday 27th March, appearing 10.30am (till approx 11.30am)

Where: The grassy space just next to Lendal Bridge (Station Rd) in front of the city walls opposite Norwich Union (Aviva)

What: Come dressed 'Betty's' style in an apron and hairnet and bring jam sandwiches, jam doughnuts or something else jammy! Join us in giving them out to car drivers and passersby and calling on the council to preserve our city by putting the lid on traffic growth and giving us a sustainable future. Or why not have a tea party on the grass? This will be a fun light-hearted event for all the family. There will also be a best slogan/pun competition!

And let other people know...

The 'York's Jammed: Let's put the brake on traffic growth' campaign is calling on York Council to stop more traffic growth in York and support:

* cheap, reliable, public transport
* better pedestrian and cycle routes
* people switching to cheaper, healthier, more sustainable transport
* safe streets for everyone
