To end the year on a high we've got a fantastic competition for you.

If you sign up for the Big Green Bike Ride before midnight on 31 December 2012, you could win a luxury holiday at a Yorkshire Dales retreat for yourself and five friends.

Now that would be a good way to start the new year.

So, what are you signing yourselves up to? Well, just a little cycling really.

That might be a bit of an understatement. There are some pretty large distances involved, London to Edinburgh for example. But fear not, we have options for all.

For those that have never taken on a long distance ride before, why not consider our London to Cambridge leg. It's the shortest and flattest day of the route, and at 65 miles, it's do-able by most people with a little training.

If you want to take on something a bit bigger, but not quite the full 500 London to Edinburgh challenge, you can always choose to do a number of individual legs. You could do up to three days one after another, or spread them out through the week.

There'll be medics and mechanics on hand throughout the ride, along with support vehicles - so you'll be well looked after.

We'll also be providing fantastic organic locally sourced food, which should help to keep you moving.

It's going to be a fantastic adventure.
