Carbon dinosaurs5 May 2010
That's what we have named the huge, dirty power stations that are dotted around our countryside belching out lots of climate changing gases.
They still provide 35% of the electricity that powers our homes and businesses but they were built over 30 years ago before we understood the threat of global warming.
Friends of the Earth thinks it's time they were made extinct.
Visit our climate change pages to find out more about climate change and to find out where our climate dinosaurs live. Then take action by writing to your MP or to the company who owns them.
