Be a climate champion

Could you inspire others to take action on climate change?

The search is on for nine outstanding young people to spread the word about climate change.

Defra has launched the Climate Change Champions 2008 competition. And they are looking for inspirational 11-18 year olds to represent each English region.

The year's competition focuses on promoting behavioural change. Entrants will be challenged to submit a news report, documentary or case study demonstrating:

How you can encourage your friends, family,
school or community to make positive steps to reduce their carbon footprint.

Find full details and entry to the competition at http://www.climatechallenge.gov.uk/. The closing date for entries is 9 November 2007.
