Thom Yorke28 May 2010
Thom Yorke is the frontman for hit rock band - Radiohead.
A supporter of Friends of the Earth, Thom helped launch The Big Ask in 2006 - our campaign to fight climate change.
A draft Climate Change Bill has been published by the Government.
What was it that first switched you on to climate change?
The first distinct point I remember was when we were making the Kid A record. We discovered all these statistics on the internet about global warming.
And the final straw?
What finally nailed it for me was hearing just one too many people in the media disputing climate change. Saying 'No, the scientists agree that blah, blah, blah'.
This jeopardises everybody's future, all our children's futures.
If he's really worried about the threats to British citizens he should perhaps focus
...more on imminent climate collapse.

What was it about The Big Ask campaign that drew you in?
The 3% [year on year] cut in carbon dioxide emissions. To me, that was the first piece of sense I'd read about the whole thing for ages.
...everytime [my son] draws a polar bear I want to tell him there probably won't be any by the time...he's my age. That's kinda hard to deal with.
And finally those people who say 'Bring it on - let climate change happen'?
Well, they obviously haven't read up on it, have they? That's born out of ignorance.
Take action with Thom and email your MP to push for a Climate Change Bill that is as strong as possible.
