For more than 40 years Friends of the Earth has seen that the wellbeing of people and planet go hand in hand - and it's been the inspiration for our campaigns.
Together with thousands of people like you we've secured safer food and water, defended wildlife and natural habitats, championed the move to clean energy and acted to keep our climate stable.
We've brought recycling to virtually every doorstep in England and Wales and changed the way people see rubbish. We've influenced significant cuts in deforestation.
Thanks to the 2008 UK Climate Act - secured with your help - many of us today have warmer homes and even new jobs.
But it's not just action now that's needed. We need to be an ever-present voice for the planet in the years to come, and continue making life better for people by inspiring effective solutions to environmental problems.
You are vital to the future - for everyone.
