New Year, new ideas
9 December 2010

A stimulating festival of green thought may be just the tonic you need in the New Year.

Feeling woozy and a bit jaded from all the holiday partying? Why not book a place at a new festival that aims to refresh your thinking on climate change.

The IQ Squared Green Festival will take place on 25 Jan 2009 at the Royal Geographical Society and will put the spotlight on the biggest questions about climate change.

Expert speakers will debate challenging issues such as "How long have we got?" and the myths and realities behind renewable energy and biofuels.

Among the many leading green thinkers at the festival will be Friends of the Earth Director Andy Atkins and his predecessor Tony Juniper, now special advisor to the Prince's Rainforest Trust.

There will also be plenty of exhibits on show, including electric cars, solar stoves and green investment advice.

Tickets for individual sessions start from £10 and a day pass for the whole event costs £50. Visit the festival's official website for more.
