Book early
Travel by rail can help significantly reduce your carbon emissions and it pays to get cheap tickets. Network Rail has to set the national timetable 12 weeks in advance and this is often (but not always) when tickets are released. Try to book 12 weeks ahead to get the really cheap fares.
