Non-stick pans make cooking and washing-up more convenient, but it's worth considering that many teflon-coated utensils are made using perfluorochemicals (PFCs) - a toxin that is extremely persistent in soil and slowly accumulates in the food chain. If you think you can do without that super-slick pan, opt for a quality non-teflon model instead.
