Mouldy matters
Autumn is the perfect time to make your own free soil conditioner. Collect fallen leaves and pack into a bin liner with holes - or try these leaf composting sacks. Sprinkle with water, tie loosely and leave in a shady spot. After 1 year you'll have the perfect leaf mould; wait a few months longer and you can dig it direct into the soil.
