Tip of the day
Stop the Costa Rican gold mine
Friends of the Earth Costa Rica urgently needs your help. The Costa Rican government has declared the proposed opening of a gold mine near the San Juan border with Nicaragua as being in the public interest. This would have devastating impacts on local biodiversity, including a forest of 190 hectares, as well as huge social costs. Please voice your opposition now at http://www.foei.org/en/get-involved/take-action/stop-deforestation-in-the-name-of-mining
