Uses for old carpet
23 October 2007

Carpets have a huge environmental impact so try and make yours last as long as possible. Even when they really are no longer suitable for the floor, there are a number of ways to re-use small pieces. Use to line bottoms of cupboards or the boot of the car - easy to remove for cleaning. Also ideal for lining pet's baskets, for use as doormats, lagging for pipes. Small pieces are great to put underneath plant pots on windowsills or shelves, so they don't damage the surface. Got suggestions of your own?
