Tin mining on Indonesia's Bangka island and surrounding waters is resulting in the destruction of tropical forests, coral reefs and people's livelihoods.

It's almost certain that tin from the island is in Apple and Samsung's mobile phones, but until we told them they may not have known.

This doesn't have to happen.

Our Make It Better campaign is working to introduce mandatory EU-wide non-financial reporting for companies. A transparent supply chain will make it easier for companies to know about the full impact their products have on the world and once they know they'll be in a better position to change things for the better.
