News from Friends of the Earth Haiti
21 January 2010

As many of you will have seen, Friends of the Earth Haiti (Haiti Survie) are appealing for funds to help respond to the emergency situation and the subsequent rebuilding efforts.

Here's a brief update on their work. Thankfully, all Friends of the Earth Haiti staff are now accounted for.

Together with other local non-governmental organisations, they're running two mobile clinics, supported by around 40 medics. They'll soon distribute more than 10,000 litres of drinking water, which is being delivered by a partner organisation from the Dominican Republic.

Friends of the Earth Haiti (Haiti Survie) plays a vital role within Haitian civil society, and throughout the Caribbean. They work on food sovereignty, deforestation and desertification, climate change adaptation, as well as international finance. You can learn more by visiting their website, and donate here.
