A popular attraction at the Copenhagen talks is the Fossil of the Day award.

This is a satirical prize for the country or group of countries that has made that day's most ridiculous statement.

Canada is currently topping the Fossil league. This week, for example, it attempted to kill off the Kyoto Protocol which commits rich countries to emission reduction targets.

Of course it has a very serious message. But it also shows that even conference delegates have a sense of humour.
