Gloucestershire groups turn up the heat
2 July 2010

The Gloucestershire Friends of the Earth Network, together with a coalition of community groups, have created an online petition for people to say no to a planned incinerator.

The petition calls on the County Council to reject a large scale incinerator at Javelin Park just outside Gloucester.

The petition is now available online for residents and visitors to the county to sign. Printable copies are also available.

Almost 2,500 people have already signed. These include local MP Martin Horwood, former MP's Parmjit Dhanda and David Drew and 8 other parliamentary candidates at the last election.

We believe that a lot of people do not want to see a large scale incinerator anywhere in Gloucestershire, so we've launched this petition to give people an opportunity to say so.
