Balcombe residents speak out on fracking
12 August 2013

Local residents are battling energy company Cuadrilla  to stop test drilling for oil in their village.

Friends of the Earth went to Balcombe to support the local community. We took thousands of messages of support with us from supporters across the UK.

While we were there we made this video so that you can hear from them directly.

Fracking is unecessary and unwanted

Fracking poses a significant threat to the quality of life, health and local environments of communities across the UK.

As if this isn't enough, the oil and gas produced will keep us hooked on dirty energy and on a path to catastrophic climate change.

Help the voices of Balcombe to be heard

Please help to support Balcombe residents by writing to West Sussex County Council and telling them to stop Cuadrilla from fracking.

With your support we will continue to oppose fracking in Balcombe and across the UK and fight for clean, sustainable energy instead.
