Big Green Society Conference13 December 2010
How can we create a sustainable society in an age of austerity?
Our friends at Waste Watch are hosting a conference on the Big Green Society on 24 March 2011.
This London event will bring together community groups, businesses, local authorities and schools from around the country.
What's the Big Idea?
This event will explore how local communities can bring about a green society:
- what community empowerment means in practice
- how organisations can create the conditions in which communities can flourish, even when faced with budget cuts
- examples of how this has already been achieved.
