Supporter of the week: John Crocker, organic grower
"I used to live in a flat in north London, but I couldn't again - I'm used to the countryside now.
"I have half an acre of land 10 miles south of Aberystwyth, and grow vegetables and salad. We also have 8,170 square feet of polytunnel and 100 hens.
They lay lovely organic eggs, which we sell direct to people for the price of standard free range eggs because we can cut out the middle man.
"It's not a very good living, and you're never going to get rich, but you do it because it's what you love. It depends what you want from life."
Next week: Jonathon Porritt. To see all the supporters I've interviewed, visit our 40th anniversary gallery.
