Get help planning your local campaigns
When Gosport and Fareham Friends of the Earth was considering whether to launch a local campaign to convince the council to introduce regular food waste collections, the group contacted their Network Developer for some advice.
After researching the available policy briefings and guidance, group members took part in a teleconference with their Network Developer to look at the feasibility of the campaign.
Following the call the group now has a clear plan for an initial round of research into the issue of waste disposal in Hampshire.
Planning your campaign
The next stage will be a focussed campaign planning sesion. Using the Action section of the Local Groups Handbook, the group will work through the basics of a campaign plan, to identify:
- Campaign aim
- SMART objectives
- A clear target
- Appropriate tactics
- Timeframe for the campaign
A well thought-out campaign plan is key to a successful campaign.
