Get Real, Shape Up, Take Action27 July 2009
Manchester Friends of the Earth has launched a new campaign - asking the city to Get Real, Shape Up, Take Action.
The campaign will ask Mancunians to look at their own impact on the environment, and mobilise support for action at the Copenhagen climate talks in December.
People will be offered the chance to see a carbon consultant for a checkup on their personal carbon footprint, including an action plan to reduce emissions.
They'll then receive ongoing advice while they make the necessary cuts.
As the date approaches, there'll be a huge emphasis on promoting the climate march in London on 5 December, and getting Manchester residents to join the group on the march.
