Clean British Energy photo competition - the winners31 August 2012
Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to everyone who took part.
We wanted you to show how inspired you are by renewable energy, so we ran a photo competition with Good Energy and Ecotricity. We had a great response.
Congratulations to joint first place winners Chris Flavin from Felixstowe, Suffolk and Wayne Beesley from Burscough, Lancashire.
They've won a year's free electricity from one of our two recommended suppliers.
Chris' photo of a houseboat at Felixstowe Ferry, powered by solar panels and a wind turbine, shows individuals can take renewable energy into their own hands.
Wayne's photo of Liverpool Bay wind farm at sunset, with waves in the foreground, captures forward thinking by a city with a rich industrial heritage.
A huge well done also to our six Highly Commended applicants Margaret Squires, Charles Garnett, Micky Thompson, Keith jones, Des Ong, and Christopher Rogers.
They've won £35 vouchers to spend in Friends of the Earth's shop.
There were some fantastic photos - people have really thought about their entries and why they find renewable energy so inspiring.

Many of the entries will be exhibited next month at Friends of the Earth's Conference, and at the Party Conferences. For your chance to see them in person, contact your local group to find out if they're being exhibited locally.
Take Action
If these fantastic photographs make you feel as passionate about clean British energy as we do, help us push for more of our electricity to come from renewables.
And if you're on Twitter please help us to spread the word, using the hashtag #getCBE.
