Background
In April this year the Bolivian Government hosted the first World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
It was called in response to the failure of the Copenhagen climate talks last December.
The conference brought together thousands of people from social movements, civil society and governments from around the world.
The aim was to discuss real solutions to the climate crisis and produce a People's Agreement on Climate Change.
The agreement was presented to the UN later in the year.
