Cornwall gets 'Climate Radio'
30 October 2006

A climate news bulletin is to be aired every weekday as part of a new Cornish 'Climate Radio' project. The radio bulletin will highlight positive things that individuals, voluntary organisations, local government and private enterprise in Cornwall are doing to tackle climate change.

Producer Richard said, "There is already a lot of positive work going on in Cornwall to tackle climate change. By highlighting this, we will show that small actions can have big impact in reducing the impact of climate change. If you are already doing something let us know so we can tell your story."

Cornwall Friends of the Earth has been awarded a grant from DEFRA to run the 'Climate Radio' project on a regional radio station in Cornwall. As part of the project, Cornwall Friends of the Earth will be conducting research throughout Cornwall to ascertain the current attitudes in the county to climate change.
