Local groups came up with a wide variety of props to get the Stop Esso message across.

In London, a polar bear took out its frustration about global warming on the Esso tiger.

While elsewhere a more sinister character appeared.

The day was a huge success. Local groups from Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and People and Planet worked together to make this the largest single national action on climate change.
