Earth Course
2 November 2011

What is the Earth Course?

The Earth Course is a new project for Friends of the Earth.

And we're looking for people to take part in the pilot

You'll have the chance to learn about and discuss environmental issues - and you'll be helping Friends of the Earth improve the course.

The Earth Course pilot will run once a week for 6 weeks from 11 January 2012 at Hackney City Farm, London.

Each week we'll focus on a different environmental issue - including climate change, green economics, the natural world and people power.

The final session is all about you - what will you do next? Whether it's getting involved with a local campaign or studying more, it's up to you what happens next.

How can I sign up to the Earth Course?

Please email [email protected] for an application form and further details. We need to receive your application by 30 November 2011.

Why develop the Earth Course?

There's a lot of information out there about the environment - but it can be difficult to know where to start.

If you're interested in the environment but haven't yet taken action this could be perfect for you. Find out more in a safe space - with people from your local area.

The Earth Course and Local Groups

From March to May 2012 we'll be holding training sessions for local group members who are interested in putting on the Earth Course in your community.

We're also developing a course book and guidance for facilitators.
