The Festival of Wellbeing 201313 September 2013
How we can move away from an obsession with economic growth to greater wellbeing?
That's the theme of a day of talks, music, poetry, dance and food, laid on by our charity partner Resurgence at its annual Festival of Wellbeing.
A stellar line-up of speakers includes Booker prize-winning novelist Ben Okri, poet Ruth Padel, former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and environmental activist Vandana Shiva. Dr Shiva campaigns for farmers' freedom not to buy expensive seeds patented by corporations.
The Festival of Wellbeing is on Saturday 12 October, Bishopsgate Institute, London EC2, with tickets starting from £60 and concessions at £45. You can book at www.resurgence.org or via 01237 441293.
Please take a look at the programme and pass the information on to others who may be interested. Places are limited so book now for this event - which sold out last year.
