Francesca was born with mild cerebral palsy. This means that she looks constantly drunk and is, sadly, unable to housework, walk a tightrope or cut her boyfriend's hair.
Since starting her stand-up career in 1999, Francesca Martinez has reached the finals of 'So You Think You're Funny?' and the Hackney Empire 'New Act of the Year' competition, and won the Daily Telegraph open mic Award.
Following these sucesses, Francesca performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has also appeared as part of the prestigious Comedy Zone at the Edinburgh Festival.
Francesca performs her inspired routines regularly at the top London circuit venues such as The Comedy Store and has toured the UK as part of The Comedy Network.
Francesca will be performing at LIVEstock 2009 - a unique evening of comedy and music in support of Friends of the Earth's Food Chain Campaign.
