DTI gets 750 GATS responses1 April 2003
A parliamentary question to Patricia Hewitt on 11 April by Simon Thomas MP revealed that the DTI received 792 responses to its consultation on GATS. Over 600 of these came from members of the public concerned with issues of the transparency and democracy of the GATS process.
The remainder were received from MP/MEPs, local authorities, non-governmental organisations, health, education and student organisations, and business.
A big thank you to everyone who made time to respond to this consultation which has helped ensure the DTI recognises the level of public concern around GATS.
