Get involved in the planning debate
14 September 2011

Join us at the Liberal Democrats Party Conference to discuss how proposed changes to planning will affect your community and your rights.

This year the Government is proposing the biggest changes to the English planning system in a generation.

Friends of the Earth and many other environmental and social justice organisations are concerned that these proposals will weaken the delivery of sustainable development and your right to a say.

Join us this Monday 19 September 2011 where we'll be discussing:

  • What  the localism agenda and changes in planning means for communities, local producers and high streets.
  • Whether power will be decentralised and to whom.

Speakers

  • Annette Brook MP
  • Councillor Vernon-Jackson, Deputy Chair of the Local Government Association
  • Naomi Luhde-Thompson, Friends of the Earth
  • Karen Leach, Localise West Midlands
  • Majeed Neky, Living Streets
