Good Energy helps us campaign against climate change
26 April 2011

Friends of the Earth partner Good Energy is backing our call for community action against climate change to be part of the Government's new Energy Bill.

The energy company is backing local carbon budgets setting emissions for every area. This new law would help councils get behind energy-saving schemes like greener public transport and insulating homes - making our communities cleaner places to live.

And the tailor-made approach would give local residents and businesses a say in how best to cut their area's carbon footprint.

Good Energy customers can get involved in the new dedicated campaigns section of its website

Friends of the Earth shares our vision of a renewable energy future for the UK. We both know working with local communities is key to delivering this. We want to see that principle at the heart of Government policy.

Juliet Davenport, CEO Good Energy

Good Energy supports nearly 2,000 independent producers who generate homegrown green energy using wind, small-scale hydro, solar power and sustainable biomass.

And it donates £50 to Friends of the Earth for every new customer who mentions us when signing up.
