The Holloways take The Big Ask to the seaside
1 May 2007

The Holloways have announced a tour of British seaside towns to promote eco-friendly UK tourism.

This summer's must-see band have also signaled their support for The Big Ask.

The Big Ask is a Friends of the Earth climate campaign calling for cuts in CO2 emissions by at least three per cent each year.

We want to show you can go on holiday with a minimal carbon outlay and still have a great time. British seaside towns have been dying for years and now is the time to bring these great towns out.

Bryn Fowler, The Holloways

Summer Holloways

The Summer Holloways tour kicks off on June 1st at Bournemouth Opera House. The band will travel in an old red London bus as a tribute to the Cliff Richard film.

All we have to do is make the government see how much we care. Young people and old people can all make the difference.

Bryn Fowler, The Holloways

Solutions to climate change already exist. People can make a positive difference by supporting British tourism and backing our campaign.

Tony Juniper, Friends of the Earth Director

Friends of the Earth's Big Ask campaign has led calls for a new law to stop climate change. It is supported by more than 130,000 people.
