James Blunt and The Big Ask 1 December 2007
Got to ask yourself the question,
Where are you now?
James Blunt, Wise Men
We are almost there with The Big Ask. And to help with the final countdown James Blunt has asked us along to his 2008 UK tour.
James has been a long term supporter of The Big Ask - see him in action in the online march.
Friends of the Earth will be at all of his January gigs. We will be asking fans to sign postcards in support of The Big Ask.
See full list of James Blunt tour dates.
By signing a postcard people are not just supporting The Big Ask - but also helping to pile on the pressure on their MP. We want MPs to help ensure the Climate Change Bill is strengthened in 3 key ways.
- Bigger cuts
The Government propose a 60 per cent cut of carbon dioxide by 2050. We need reductions of at least 80 per cent. - Annual targets
The Government want five year budgets for CO2. We want shorter targets - to hold the current Parliament to account. - Aviation and shipping
International flights and shipping emissions are excluded. We want these included.
If you are going to one of the gigs - do come and say hello. And, of course, don't forget to sign a postcard while you are there.
