Lily Allen smiles on solar28 April 2008
Pop star Lily Allen has recently been getting vocal with MPs over solar power.
As a user of The Premises - a solar-powered recording studio in London - she heard about Friends of the Earth's campaign to promote green energy and wanted to support it.

So The Premises emailed every MP with a message from Lily Allen asking for a renewable energy tariff to be included in the forthcoming Energy Bill.
MPs will vote on this issue on Wed 30th April.
Earlier in the week, Friends of the Earth, Enough's Enough, and Greenpeace also lobbied the Government by placing full page adverts in The Independent, Times and Guardian.
Using a football analogy, the ad says it is a national shame that Britain is near the bottom of the European renewable energy league table.

Germany has 200 times more solar power than England because German households and businesses get paid a renewable energy reward for the solar power they generate.
It's known as the 'feed-in tariff' and has helped make Germany a world leader in renewable energy.
These are the kinds of solutions we need to tackle climate change.
