Time for radical action on climate? A public meeting in Liverpool31 March 2011
Fuel poverty, climate change, jobs - is it time for radical action on climate?
Liverpool Friends of the Earth are pleased to be hosting a public meeting, jointly with Faiths4Change.
The event is on Saturday 2 April, 3pm at St James' House in Liverpool (L1 7BY)
Speakers will address questions including:
- Greenest Government ever? - who are they kidding?
- Can we heat our homes for less and cut carbon emissions?
- What's the alternative to big profits for big corporations?
The Energy Bill currently progressing through Parliament will be a focus for discussion, but in Liverpool's year of the Radicals this shouldn't be a constraint to the debate.
Don't miss this chance to put your questions to the panel:
- Luciana Berger, MP for Liverpool Wavertree
- Mike Childs, Head of Climate, Friends of the Earth
- Annie Merry, Faiths4Change
The meeting is part of the Stop Climate Chaos Big Climate Reconnection - for more information on how you can organise a meeting or a lobby in your area contact your regional mobiliser
