Fighting the flights at City Airport9 October 2009
Our lawyers have filed a court case to stop the headlong expansion of London City Airport.
This important case is brought by our Rights & Justice Centre lawyers on behalf of Anne-Marie Griffin, the Chair of local community campaign group Fight The Flights.
Communities not consulted
The case challenges Newham Council on important issues about the Government's climate change policy on airports and the lack of community consultation.
As a result of this case two neighbouring local authorities - Waltham Forest and Redbridge - have now passed formal resolutions challenging Newham's consultation.
The Rights and Justice Centre's commitment, passion and dedication to the community and environment leaves our group in no doubt that that they always put the communities best interests first
