March for the Alternative24 March 2011
Thousands of people are expected to come together in London this weekend. They'll call on the Government to seek alternatives to savage spending cuts.
We'll be joining World Development Movement, Jubilee Debt Campaign, War on Want and more of our 6 Billion Ways partners to call for jobs, growth and justice.
Friends of the Earth's Executive Director Andy Atkins will be one of the speakers at the rally in Hyde Park - where the march ends.
Why we're marching
March for the Alternative will give a national voice to all those affected by the cuts.
The March will also show that people reject the argument that there's no alternative to massive public sector cuts.
Join us
We'll be meeting at 11am on Victoria Embankment, where Temple Place meets Surrey Street. It shouldn't be too hard to find but just in case you get lost you can find a map here.
